Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Dr. Çetin Ali Dönmez visited Pamukkale University within the framework of his programme in Denizli. PAU Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Bağ hosted Deputy Minister Dr. Çetin Ali Dönmez in his office. Rector Bağ introduced Pamukkale University to Deputy Minister Dönmez and talked about the domestic and national technology development studies carried out within Pamukkale University. During the visit of Deputy Minister Dönmez, Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Bağ stated that Pamukkale University won degrees in different categories, especially the first place with 5 teams participating in TEKNOFEST 2019, and stated that they aim to participate with 20 teams this year. Rector Bağ gave information about Pamukkale University Teams and projects that will compete in TEKNOFEST 2020.
Deputy Minister Dr Çetin Ali Dönmez also visited Pamukkale Technopolis and his first stop was the South Aegean Development Agency (GEKA). Here, Deputy Minister Dönmez received information from GEKA Secretary General Özgür Akdoğan about the development agency and the work carried out.
During the visit, Deputy Minister Dönmez, who examined the Denizli Hackerspace Collaborative Workspace, chatted with the students for a while. Deputy Minister Dönmez, who asked questions to learn the opinions of the students about the Technopolis, was also closely interested in the work of the students. Afterwards, he visited the pre-incubation and incubation centres of Pamukkale Technopolis. The members of the Hazar Team, which is composed entirely of Pamukkale University students and won the first place in Turkey in the High Altitude Category with the rocket named 'Hiera 3000' at TEKNOFEST 2019, answered the questions of Deputy Minister Dönmez about their work.
