Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Kutluhan made a series of inspections at Pamukkale Technopolis

Pamukkale University (PAU) Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan held a series of meetings and made examinations at Pamukkale Teknokent Yönetici A.Ş.

Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan, within the scope of Pamukkale Technopolis visit programme, firstly met with the Board Members of Pamukkale Technopolis Managing Co. In addition to Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Fahir Demirkan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pamukkale Teknokent Yönetici A.Ş. Prof. Dr. Rafet Kılınçarslan, Teknokent Board Members and officials attended the meeting. Prof. Dr. Kılınçaraslan and officials gave information to Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Kutluhan about Pamukkale Technopolis and the activities carried out within the Technopolis.

Following the programme, Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan met with the advisors and members of the teams that qualified to compete in the finals of TEKNOFEST 2020 at Pamukkale Teknokent Conference Hall. The advisors and captains of the teams made informative presentations about the aims of their projects that will take part in TEKNOFEST 2020 finals, the development processes of their projects and the latest status of their projects.

This year, 14 teams supported by Pamukkale University and Pamukkale Teknokent will take part in TEKNOFEST 2020 finals with a total of 16 projects.

Speaking at the end of the meeting, Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan congratulated the teams that achieved success in the TEKNOFEST competitions held last year and said the following "We have been proud of you since last year. As a Denizli, your success in TEKNOFEST has made us proud. It is very proud that Pamukkale University is associated with TEKNOFEST. Friends who will choose this University will look at your achievements. These TEKNOFEST achievements will have many reflections. This University will be a university that really produces science and knowledge. These achievements are proof of this. Therefore, I congratulate all our friends and professors. The return of your work here is quite high. In addition to the support of BAP and Teknokent, we will work on the support of industrialists from Denizli for your projects."

After the introductory meeting, Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan and his entourage visited the Hacker Space Co-Working Space, Pre-Incubation, Incubation, Training Halls and TechnoCafé in Pamukkale Technopolis. Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Kutluhan received information from the authorities about the work carried out in these areas.

At the end of the programme, Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan and the accompanying delegation visited the Hazar Team, which ranked first in Turkey in the High Altitude Rocket Competition at TEKNOFEST 2019, in their working areas and received information about their projects from Team Captain Serhat Duras and team members.
